About This Book
This is Bharathi's second offering of short stories of the lives of marginalised Madiga women in the villages of Chittoor district after her successful first foray Edari Batukulu (HBT, 2019). These stories explore the depth of the lives of Madiga women farmers and their refusal to surrender to the difficulties they face in everyday life. (For those who read in English, do look at The Goddess Who Was Moved by Hunger on the SouthSide Books list - this is a translation of the stories that appear in this Telugu book.)
